String Some Beads in Speech

Just dropping in to share something I did recently that was a big hit in my speech room. I bought some wooden beads to use in a new product for s-blends (see here) but I had a ton left over. So I also bought some string and we had fun making necklaces and bracelets in speech. In between taking their turn, students got to do something with their hands. I loved seeing their creativity!

It probably also helped that I did it the week of Halloween. After the sugar rush that this holiday brings, I didn’t quite want to dive into anything Thanksgiving related just yet. We practiced our speech and language skills and they got to leave with something they created…win win!
