End of Year Speech Therapy Ideas
I know some of you are already out for the summer, but for those of us who aren’t it feels like we’re crawling towards the finish line. I wanted to share some easy, end of year activities that you can do with your students that are low to no prep. Because really, who has the time or energy to prep right now? I sure don’t!
Try my End of the Year Flip Book or Snap! End of Year Picture (both are no prep)! I sometimes pull out my Five, Fast, and Fun for this time of year too. STOP (Students Tracking Own Progress) Sheets are no prep and an easy way to get end of year data. I also pull out my no prep language packs (try the cupcake packet) and Ten for June because it’s easy! I also have a free following directions activity that is summer themed.
Here are some other ideas:
Lindsey Karol has a free end of year packet
Becky of The SLT Scrapbook has a huge bundle of no prep summer themed material
NWSpeech has a free dot page
Speech Snacks has a free language activity for middle and high school students
Splashy Speech Stuff has a free social language interview product
Nicole Allison has a free movie review activity
Darla Gardner has a free WH questions activity
Looks Like Language did a blog post with 3 easy end of year ideas
This year during the last session of the year, I plan to let my students watch some fun videos. We will still be sneaking some language in there, but I plan to be relaxed about it. I usually buy mini cookies and the kids can eat those while we’re watching. I typically don’t do end of year gifts, because it’s just too much to think about. With moving recently, it definitely isn’t going to happen this year!
