18-24 Month Toy Recommendations
My son is now 24 months old! I shared my 12-18 month toy recommendations months ago, and I wanted to add to it.

I have been very intentional about the toys I’ve purchased this time around. We still have some from when my daughter was younger and I have not gone nuts adding toys. I’ve been doing toy rotation with two bins. I will rotate the bins every week or every two weeks (I sometimes forget). This has cut way down on the amount of toys we need. Plus, my son loves to play with kitchen utensils – pots, pans, spatulas, etc. so there’s that haha!
-Little People bus: this has given us opportunities to work on stop, go, weeeee, more, on, off, etc.
-Battat 3 car garage: we can work on colors, open, close, go, stop, etc.
-Play pots and pans: I like the look of these pots and pans. Although my son still likes to play with the real thing, these are different from others that I’ve seen!
-Farm toys: we’ve had this for awhile, but he hasn’t shown much interest in it yet. We’ve been working on animal noises, and he’s finally saying more of them, so I’ll continue presenting this one.
-Melissa and Doug puzzle: this is great for receptive language (where’s the dog? where’s the car?) and open, shut, all done, more.
-Battat Big Red Barn: we also have this one, plus I got more animals to put in a sensory bin. Again, animal noises and other core words like go, stop, more, on, off, in.
