Peek At My Week 11/30

Autism: We’re reading my mini-book Snowman, Snowman What Will You Wear? and doing some of the accompanying activities. For these kids, I like to give them repeated exposure to vocabulary, so we will often read the same book and work on different skills if I see them more than once.
K-2nd: Along with reading the above snowman book, we’re reading There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bell by Lucille Colandro. I found this free printable black and white book from PreK Pages that I think will pair nicely with it. There are also lots of book companion options on TpT from other SLP bloggers. I seriously laminated and cut out a stack of paper that was like 2 inches thick this weekend to prep for the the month and couldn’t bring myself to laminate anything else!
We’re also doing an easy white poker chip snowman craft that I hung up before I left work on Wednesday in preparation for this week. I promptly forgot to snap a picture of it. Oops. Basically, I’m having the kids glue 3 white poker chips on top of each other on card stock and we’ll draw the snowman parts on. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! I promise to Instagram a picture this week [shameless plug: follow me on Instagram @teachspeech365]
3rd-5th: S.A.L.L. for ALL Winter will be making my life so much easier in the coming months! I like to mix things up with other activities, but with 4 themes included, I have the capability to do so. This week, I’m doing the Winter Sports Themes – so idioms, scrambled sentences, attributes, and comparing/contrasting! Plus, the stories and nonfiction cards.
I’m also getting in the holiday spirit with Summarizing Elves, which is free! Work on summarizing/main idea and figure out the secret message!
That does it for me! What are you planning to do?
Don’t forget!! Tomorrow and Tuesday (Dec 1 and 2) is the Cyber Monday TpT Sale! My store is 20% off (EVERYTHING EVEN BUNDLES) and use code TPTCYBER to save even more!
