Peek At My Week 3/1

March has officially arrived! Here is what is on the agenda for this coming week:
Artic: We’re making speech igloos, courtesy of Crazy Speech World – see her post with this cute idea! For the phonology kids, I’m using Print and Go Phonology Flashcards that I snagged during the sale from The Dabbling Speechie, in conjunction with my Interactive Phonology Mini-Books that I always have on hand.
K-2nd: I’m using Flip and Clip: Pronouns and Superhero Syntax from Denise Polley. My students are really loving these flip book type activities lately. I’m finding I can target a lot just by using them too!
3rd-5th: Sticking with the superhero theme – I’m using Superhero Listening for Language cards (free) from Listening for Language, plus we’re going to learn about the Iditarod, with some information cards (also from Listening for Language. Interspersed in there will be some EET for describing and some other general language tasks.
Social: We’re continuing to use Superflex Takes On One-Sided Sid and Un-Wonderer (review coming later this week).
Autism: I’m using Superhero Syntax, Flip and Clip Pronouns, the “student” sheet from Structured Sentence Building (Queen’s Speech) and an Early Receptive/Expressive Language No Print activity from Rachel Jones (Let’s Talk Speech Therapy).
Of course, I’ll be complementing these activities with other things that I have. This is just a guideline! Hope it helps!
Thanks for the mention! I hope your students have tons of fun and make tons of progress!
They already have thanks to your activity! I suspect it’s because the superheroes are so motivating!
