Intro-Vention (giveaway)
One of my most recent activities has been a hit in more ways than one in my room! When I began creating Intro-Vention, I simply wanted something that would help me introduce a specific skill. Or reintroduce a skill if I find a student is having difficulty. So Intro-Vention was born.
They are little black and white books that you put together like this:
They focus on the specific skill and gives ten pages to practice. Each book is slightly different, depending on the skill. For example, in the regular and irregular past tense verb books, there are 6 circles. The present tense verb is provided in a sentence, followed by the past tense verb. The student can then practice each 6 times. This is particularly important for the irregular past tense verbs, which students often have to just memorize.
I used them this past week because I had picked up some new students. I quickly realized they’re great for progress report time to collect data! Which is great, because progress reports are due soon.

Such a great way to introduce new concepts, to review concepts, or to use at progress monitoring time and IEP preparation time! This would be something that could be used daily in many different ways. It’s so portable, too, could be used for RtI as well. Definitely on my wish list!
I could definitely use this product in therapy sessions with my kiddos! Pronouns and verbs are 2 things I find myself working on every day!! Thank you!!
I have so many students who work on grammar! Having this product would be so helpful to address the variety medical skills I target in the lower grades. These are such a fun and inventive way to practice them. My students would enjoy them so much!
This product targets SO many different language skills! I think I could use it for the majority of my caseload! I like how simple it is to make and how small it is- a definite plus for a traveling SLP, such as myself.
This looks like a great product to introduce and measure progress on specific skills. Students could practice the skills while you work individually with a student. This would be great for many of my students.
Intro-vention looks great! I love how portable it is and how it’s great for introducing new concepts, reviewing, AND progress monitoring! I have so many language kids who would benefit from this! Thanks for creating it!!
What a creative way to progress monitor! I like that it is easy to create, but also unique and motivating.
I am a SLPA and I travel to many schools. These are great activities to have on hand not only to work with during the session, but also for homework.
I love how great this product is for introducing the concepts, practicing the concepts, and assessment of the concepts. I love that it targets so many language skills! Every child that I work with would benefit from this product! Thank you for sharing and the giveaway opportunity!
This product would be so perfect for so many on my caseload. It looks great!
Love this product and can definitely use this with my students. I hope to win!!
These would be great to have at the ready and to pull out at the end of a session as a little review.
This product would be great for explicitly teaching the skills. Too often we get stuck on data collection, and sometimes forget that we need to first actually teach the skills. I think this product could really help with that!
I really like the idea of a short, sweet introduction/review. We are jam packed during the day and this product would be a welcomed addition to the busy day – it gets right down to business!
Thanks for the giveaway!
This has been on my wish list since I first saw it! I have been wanting something like this to introduce concepts! Hoping it will help carry over the concept better too!
Perfect carryover activity!
This looks like a great activity to not only introduce and teach new concepts. It would also be great for progress monitoring and informal assessments.
What great activities to use as progress monitoring or homework
Very good idea for a product. I like that it’s small enough to fit in a pocket yet doesn’t have to be laminated. I have lots of little ones who could use this.
