Peek At My Week 5/17
Here’s what is on the agenda for this week:
Artic: The craft is a very easy paper plate flower. I made it look like a sunflower by coloring the middle brown and the edges yellow. Then you cut slits all the way around and fold every other tab to resemble petals. I used strips from a file folder to make leaves and a stem. We can write words on the petals from the Articulation Station app.
All grades are using parts of the gardening theme from S.A.L.L. for ALL: Spring/Summer. Why? Because it’s state testing time and I designed my S.A.L.L. packets for ease!
The gardening theme works on: adjectives, multiple meaning words, comparing/contrasting, complex sentences, plus there are nonfiction passages and stories. Younger grades (PS, K, 1, 2) are using my Plant the Flowers Reverse Interactive Book to work on WH questions and prepositions.
Older grades are also using Secret Messages for Main Idea. Forgot to add that to my plans above.
Social: I’m loving Everyday Speech (<–read my review and see how to get access) videos!
Autism: Plant the Flowers and my new Interactive Descriptive Sorts. I tried these sorts out last week and they worked really well.
