Animated Short Films for Speech Therapy
Using animated short films in speech therapy is a great way to work on comprehension, inferencing, retell, summarizing and so much more! I’m linking some of my favorites!
- Preheated: This one is about a boy whose father is a scientist. It is his father’s birthday and he tries to make him a cake. There is a mishap though that makes for some
- The Present: This is the story of a boy who spends his time indoors playing video games instead of discovering what’s waiting outside. One day his mom decides to get a little surprise for her son.
- Snack Attack: This one is about an elderly lady who gets a snack and then has an interesting encounter and realization.
- Partly Cloudy: This one is about a very unlucky stork, who has to deliver scary babies of various vicious animals made by a miserable dark cloud.
- Geri’s Game: This one is about an old man named Geri plays a daylong game of chess in the park against himself.
Have you used any of these in therapy?
