Clinical Skills Confidence: Evaluation Tip
I know it’s almost break, but I wanted to pop in and share a quick evaluation tip!
I often do this while writing evaluations, so that I don’t forget anything. Sometimes I’m waiting on a teacher questionnaire, but I want to get the rest of the report written so I get down to business doing that. But like everyone else, I have about 39 things on my to do list and I’d quickly forget that I needed another part. So I highlight the section. Before I print, I always do a quick scroll through. The highlighting will catch my eye and I’ll remember to fill in the missing section.
See below for a sample (fake report):
What do you do so you don’t forget something on your reports?
I totally do the same thing! I also make lists on their files of what is still needed, but to keep the file folder nice, I wrap my files for students in different colors of 9×12 construction paper–purple for transfer kids, yellow for evals, and the color of the year for annuals. Then when I am done I cut the construction paper down to fit into the file folder to hold that year’s papers so every year is in a different color. Probably overkill, but it has worked for me for 17 years!
Whatever works for you!! Glad you found a system that works for you. Thanks for reading!!
