Easy Articulation Therapy Idea

This summer, I’m working very part time for a private practice. I’m working with an adorable preschooler who has some articulation goals. Currently, we’re working on 3 syllable words. I discovered a quick way to keep her engaged and still get in a lot of trials. I’m actually using cards that I pulled out of the Hedbanz game.

Before we start, we run through the words twice. There are 10 cards, so there’s 20 repetitions. Then we go fishing! I place a card under each fish, so that every time she catches a fish, we say the word a few times. We continue until all the fish are caught.

I also did this with the coins from a piggy bank I recently purchased from Zulily.

I’m able to get a lot of repetitions and it keeps the student engaged for the whole activity. If you’re interested in the items I’m using, see below:

Enjoy!
