Halloween Roundup
It’s October, which means that Halloween is right around the corner. Confession: I’ve never been a huge fan of Halloween, even as a kid. But I know it excites my students, so I do Halloween themed activities throughout the month of October. I thought I’d round up some ideas for you:
Skeleton + Creepy Crawly Critters: I got a skeleton and plastic creepy crawly critters from the dollar store and put velcro on the critters and different places on the skeleton. You can work on following directions, formulating sentences, prepositions, or just use it as a reinforcer.
Easy Mummy Craft: Cut out a gingerbread like shape out of black construction paper and have your students use masking tape to create a mummy.
Batty Associations Mini-Book and Activities: This is an interactive book that works on associations, but you can also work on WH questions, sequencing, following directions and more.
Ten for October (free): This includes ten free worksheets that can work with a Halloween theme. They target a variety of speech and language skills.
Mummy Madness (free): A variety of words are on the mummy. Have your students describe the words or put them in sentences.
Pumpkin Irregular Plurals (free): This freebie targets irregular plurals with a pumpkin theme.
These are just some ideas to get you through the month of October!
