Oldies but Goodies
We all have our favorite go-to Teachers Pay Teachers activities. Since starting my store 3.5 years ago, I’ve added lots of different activities based on the ever changing needs of my caseload. Today, I’m revisiting my favorite “oldies but goodies.”
1. WH Questions with Visual Choices: This is my bestselling item! I wanted cards that would target each type of WH question with visual choices for my students who have difficulty answering these questions without support.
2. Fruit Bowl Fluency: I don’t usually have too many fluency students on my caseload, but this helped me when I did. It targets easy onsets, pausing, light contacts, and “bumpy” speech.
3. Mirror-TIC: Hold these cards up to a mirror and the word appears! Very motivating for kids and I have several different sets in my store.
4. Take A Ticket Listening Comprehension: There are short stories and WH questions. Students pick a ticket out of bucket and that is the type of question they have to answer.
5. My PlayHome App Companion: These companions go along with the My PlayHome apps, which are AWESOME for language development. There are three versions and I have companion packets for all three: home, school, and stores.
These frequently make an appearance in my therapy room! Although they might be “oldies,” my students love them and so do I!
