Peek At My Week 11/23
This week is 3 days with Thanksgiving upon us. Planning was still a necessity – and by necessity, I mean I had to plan AROUND lots of special events happening. Switch groups here, add kids there – it’s a recipe for…crazy? Alas, I am excited about Thanksgiving and a little time off. This weekend, I’ve furiously been writing reports and IEPs, with the hope that I won’t have to do it over break if I get it done now.
Autism: I’m using my wordless picture book (What Did Turkey Tom Eat?). They are really loving these books and I’m loving that I can target a whole bunch of goals with one little book. We’ll also be making a Thanksgiving plate craft, courtesy of thedabblingspeechie.
K-2nd: Using Super Power Speech’s freebie called Maria’s Thanksgiving! It can be used on my iPad which is a huge bonus! We’re also doing the plate craft from above. I’m using my I’m Thankful For Articulation packet too!
3rd-5th: Using Speech Snacks’s A Feast of Turkey Topics, Nicole Allison’s Thanksgiving Nonfiction passage, and I’m Thankful For artic (pictures link to TpT).
Happy Thanksgiving week to you all!
Thanks for linking up! I used the activity from The Dabbling Speechie this past week with a student…she was so proud of her plate! I’m downloading “Maria’s Thanksgiving” on my iPad…great idea!
