Peek At My Week 12/14

Sorry for the crickets over here…December has been a very, very busy month! It’s the last week before break and I’m super excited!! Even though this month has been crazy, it’s a fun time of the year. Here’s what I have planned for the week:
Autism: I’m using the No-Words Build A Snowman freebie, my qualitative quest mats to work on adjectives, and my pronoun verb popsicle stick freebie to work on pronouns and present progressive verbs.
K-2nd: I’m using these cute winter theme game boards from Simply Speech as bingo chip reinforcers instead because my kids love anything that involves the magnetic wand. We’re reading Turkey Claus by Wendi Silvano. We read Turkey Trouble last month, so I thought it was fitting to read the Christmas version next! Additionally, I’m using Jenna Rayburn’s Snowball Verb Tense Sort.
We’re doing an easy cookie plate craft activity too. Simply grab a paper plate, and print some copies of the easy template I whipped up. Kids can color and cut out the cookies and glue them onto the plate. Easy!
3rd-5th: I’m using the Evergreen nonfiction passage from Nicole Allison’s Winter passages and Holiday Photos from Speech Time Fun. Both will allow us to work on retelling and main idea, both of which are skills my students struggle with. My social group is focusing on asking questions this week, so although it’s not holiday themed, we’re using my Formulating Questions Fiesta.
Last Peek At My Week for 2014, which is crazy!!! Enjoy the week!
