2 more weeks until winter break! This past week was a whirlwind, and I have the feeling that the rest of December will follow suit. Many of my kids were excited to talk about the holidays and I think that’ll only increase as we get closer. This is my favorite time of year though, so I’m ok with that. This week, I have some fun things planned:

Autism: I have an older autism classroom and a kindergarten classroom. This week, the older kids will be reading “Help Santa Get Ready” from Miss Speechie! This is an adorable interactive mini-book! The younger kids will be coloring an cute mini-book called “We Have Lights” from Little Miss Kindergarten.

K-2nd: We’ll be reading The Gingerbread Kid Goes To School by Joan Holub. I picked it up during the last book fair at my school. It’s a cute book that is similar to the typical gingerbread boy stories, but it takes place at a school. I printed an easy outline of a gingerbread cookie that the kids will decorate and we can write practice words around the page.

I’ll also be using parts of Jenna Rayburn’s Holiday Life Skills packet.
