Welcome to the first Peek At My Week of 2016! I’m excited to see what this year brings. I’m definitely sad about break being over, but it happens. Hopefully these plans will make the transition back to work easier for you! Here’s what I have planned:
Artic: I’m using Mini Speech Club Winter (Super Power Speech). Easy and no prep!
K-2nd: We’re reading The Mitten by Jan Brett, using a free printable reader from Rebecca Drake, and I’m using Speech In the New Year (also free) to gather some data after the break to see if my kids maintained skills.
3rd-5th: Using Speech in the New Year, the winter sports theme from S.A.L.L. for ALL: Winter (scrambled sentences, compare/contrast, idioms, attributes, facts, stories), and Winter Inferencing from Busy Bee Speech.
Social: I decided to use some short animated films that I found on YouTube to work on facial expressions, body language, and inferring. I plan to use this one and this one.
Autism: We’re using The Mitten reader, Functional Vocabulary Cards, January: Push Print, and Winter Pronouns (Speech Universe).
That’s it! Hope your break was relaxing!
