Peek At My Week 2/15

Here are my plans for the week:
K-2nd: We’re reading Sadie and the Snowman by Allen Morgan. I love this book! Though we actually don’t have snow here, I don’t care. It’s such a great book for comprehension, retelling, problem solving, and more. I’m also using Building Block Sentences for kids that I see more than once a week. My language and articulation students will be making a melted snowman craft as well, which is Pinterest inspired. It’ll be great for following directions and describing, plus it works perfectly with this book.
3rd-5th: I’m using a combination of a few things, depending on goals. Some students are doing Winter/Holiday Inferencing or Speech Glyphs from The Speech Bubble SLP, while others will be using my S.A.L.L. for ALL: Penguins. The penguins theme targets multiple meaning words, WH questions, plus there are stories and nonfiction passages.
Social: I’m using a new Unthinkable book (review coming soon), plus pictures I’ve cut out from magazines to target facial expressions and body language.
Autism: We’re using the Winter Pronoun Pack from [simply speech.], Feed the Frog from Speech Time Fun, and my WH question cards with visuals.
That’s it for me for this week! Oh and there’s a super fun blog hop going on that just started today too – be sure to check out my post for that here – hop through and enter the giveaway!!
