Hello, second week of May! State testing is upon us, which is fabulous for my schedule! I plan on doing the best I can and seeing as many kids as I can with all the changes. Here’s what I have planned:
Artic: I’m using WordNerdSpeechTeach’s Springtime Listening Comprehension and Articulation. A perfect way to work on artic and language!
K-2nd: Simply Speech’s Thematic Pronoun Sorts and Jenna Rayburn’s What’s In My House? book. I’ve also been using Word Joggers Junior with some students and they’ve enjoyed it.
3rd-5th: I’m using the bug theme from S.A.L.L. for ALL: Spring/Summer and Context Clues in Color from The Speech Bubble SLP.
Social: Lately I’ve been using some Mr. Bean videos to work on facial expressions and body language. Try this one and this one.
Autism: Last week, I used Queen’s Speech Structured Sentence Building for the zoo and this week I’m using the ocean scene. I’m also using Flip and Clip: Verbs, and What’s In My House? I’m also trying out a new activity of my own before I post it – but it focus on descriptive elements in sentences.
6 more weeks! We’re getting there!
