2 weeks to go!!!! This will be the last Peek At My Week post for this school year. We do have 2 more weeks, but the last week is generally pretty difficult to plan anything and involves packing up my room, etc.
So here’s what I have planned this week:
Artic: We’re doing a simple ice cream craft. I cut out ice cream scoops and cones and the kids will be gluing them onto blue strips of paper. It will be easy to add articulation words to this. I did the SNAP! worksheet with some of them last week, so I’ll have anyone who missed it do that. It’s free, so grab your copy (just click on the picture)!
K-2nd: I’m using Incredible Ice Cream from No-Words. This book features different children getting different ice cream cones and will lend itself nicely to expressive language.
I will also be using the ice cream theme from S.A.L.L. for ALL: Spring/Summer. It targets the following skills: prepositions, has/have, following directions, verbs, nonfiction facts, and stories. There’s something for everyone!
3rd-5th: We’re probably will use parts of S.A.L.L., but I also plan on using Prediction Presents and Secret Messages for Main Idea.
Autism: We will do the ice cream craft, use parts of S.A.L.L. and my Interactive Descriptive Sorts. The sorting is very appealing to my students, and keeps them engaged for far longer than I would’ve expected. I also pulled out Grammar Gumballs again because earning the gumballs is fun for them!
Hope the end of the year goes smoothly for you if you’re still plugging away!
