SLP Mood Decoder Revisited!
Bringin’ back the (school) SLP Mood Decoder! I posted about this last year but thought I’d revisit to see if my thermometer is reading the same. Interestingly, I did that blog post around the same time last year and this year, it’s reading the same.
This is purely for fun…although if you want to hang one up in your office and direct people to look at it, feel free! In the download, there’s a free strip that you can just clip a clothespin to in order to let your colleagues know your current mood.
If you’re a school based SLP, you know that your stress level can be peaks and valleys, depending on the time of year and how your district handles things.
This time of year is hectic for me. Lately, it seems that I haven’t been able to walk down the hall without a teacher stopping me to ask me to look at a student. Don’t get me wrong – I love that they are seeking me out for guidance! I just am counting in my head the number of consults, evaluations, etc. that are piling up.

For me, March seems to be some kind of vortex month. Where suddenly concerns are just coming in droves. I’m definitely reading RED this month. How about you?
Love this! I agree that March is definitely RED for me! I think I had a yellow February this year.
I am so going to forward this blog link to my CFs who are definitely in Code Red mode (but still doing an amazing job)! Thanks!
