WH Questions {App Review}
Disclaimer: A copy of this app was provided to me; however, the opinions expressed are solely my own.
This app is available in the app store for $2.99. It targets WH questions, with four different activities. The activities are seen below:
This is a screenshot of the first activity (identify the picture that answers the WH question). This is similar to my WH questions with visuals activity on TPT! I love the visual choices and was able to easily use this activity with my students with autism, as well as my younger kids.
This is a screenshot from the second activity (answer the questions for the scene). I like that you can also target other skills, like pronouns and verbs, with these pictures.
This is a screenshot from the third activity (drag and drop the pictures to answer the 3 questions). This still provides students with visual choices, which is really nice.
This is a screenshot from the fourth activity (answer the WH question). This one is a little harder because the answers are written, but it clues students into making sure they know what each WH question is asking (in this example “who” not “what”).
What I Like:
-clean, non-distracting layout (all of Teach Speech apps are set up in similar formats, and I really like the layout)
-ability to use it with varying levels of students
-ability to target other skills, like pronouns and verbs
-variety of different aspects of WH questions are targeted
Overall, I like this app because of the variety and layout. It’s simple, but still lends itself to targeting other skills while using it! It’s one that you definitely want to try!
