FREE School CF Starter Kit

Last week, I posted a FREE CF Starter Kit in my TPT store. I wanted to provide something for CFs (or really anyone new to schools) with a bunch of files to get you started off on the right foot. Of course, starting your CF this year is going to be vastly different than any other year! I do want to let you know that most of the files are already available as freebies in my store, but I also added three additional ones that I’ve never provided before.

The three new ones are the goal spreadsheet, schedule spreadsheet, and monthly therapy planning guide (you can print this one or type directly into it).

I included links to websites with common IEP terminology, as well as links to blog posts that I have written that may be helpful. There is also two pages of tips!

Here is a description of the files included:
1. Goal spreadsheet: Fill out this spreadsheet so that you can have your entire caseloads’ information at a glance. Update throughout the year as you have annual IEP meetings.
2. Schedule spreadsheet: Change the times to meet your needs. I recommend doing a schedule like this because you will be constantly adding and moving kids around.
3. Back to School Checklist: This list has everything that I typically do at the beginning of a new school year.
4. Evaluation Tracker: There are a couple different versions of this. It may vary based on your district. I print this out double-sided and add names of the students who I’m testing throughout the year
5. ISIP (In Speech I Practiced) Notes: Fill these out if you have parents wanting to know what you did with students during speech.
6. Language Sample Checklist: Use this while collecting a language sample.
7. Language Sample Freebie: This is a free sample of a larger, paid product. You can use these prompts to collect language samples.
8. Norm Referenced Assessment Quick Sheet: Fill these out for any standardized tests you have, so that you can have something to reference quickly.
9. Classroom Observation Form: Fill this out when you’re doing classroom observations.
10. Mini Speech Posters: I used these for functional decorations around my speech room.
11. Therapy Planning: This is what I use to plan therapy each month. You can type right in the form or print it out and write it in.

Starting your CF is exciting and scary! I recall the “I have no idea what I’m doing” feeling well. Heck, I still feel that way sometimes and I’m now 10 years out. You become more confident in your abilities, I promise. If you have questions, email me (teachspeech365@gmail.com) or message me on Instagram – I’d love to help you out if I can!

I did an Instagram Live video on this and answered questions. You can see that here.
