I know it’s the end of the year and some of you are even out of school already! I thought I’d pop in to share a quick, easy data tracking tip I’ve used since grad school. Below is a sample from one of my actual data sheets. When I’m tracking, I always do a little slash after 5 trials. It makes is easier for me to get an accuracy level at the end (if I do 10 or 20 trials). Sometimes that doesn’t happen for a variety of reasons, but I’ve learned it makes my life easier!

  1. I use a plus with parenthesis around it (+) to indicate if cues/prompts were needed. That way I can look back and determine the level of cueing needed for that goal. I typically mark the cued ones as incorrect as most of my goals require indepedent achievement. I love your idea about using a slash! I’m going to start using that.
