Hi-Lo Comprehension Passages

Recently, I purchased something that I wanted to share with you! It’s a book that features nonfiction passages, but with a low readability level, meaning that your students with reading disabilities can read them more easily. Nonfiction passages can be difficult for many of my students to read and comprehend, so I was excited to get this in the mail.

This is what a passage looks like. It still has a lot of good nonfiction information, but is less overwhelming for my students to read: 

Each passage is followed by comprehension questions, vocabulary word, word work, and a writing prompt:
