I distinctly remember when the world shut down in March 2020. There was so much anxiety surrounding COVID and I was at loose ends. My daughter (then 4) was also feeling it. She needed structure and so did I. So I used Smarty Symbols to make a visual schedule for the day. I laminated it and add Velcro (because I’m an SLP and obviously had those things in my house HAHA). She knew what each day would look like, and loved moving the icons down. It calmed us both!
