Speech Suitcase: WH Questions
Speech Suitcase time again! If you missed my earlier posts in this series, be sure to check them out: describing, main idea, synonyms/antonyms, and listening comprehension. This week, I’m focusing on WH questions. I think it’s a pretty common goal in speech room everywhere.
Here is what I have in my suitcase to work on WH questions:
- WH Questions with Visual Choices: This packet is never far from my therapy table. I have them all on a ring and use them pretty much every single day. I also have a WHAT questions add on packet available.
- WH Question Scenes from Speech Language Pirates: These are great because there are scenes and Denise has questions ready to go for you.
- Differentiated Scenes from Speech Time Fun: These are also scenes, but Hallie has differentiated questions.
- Formulating Questions Fiesta: One skill that I think is sometimes overlooked is formulating questions. I have two products that work on this skill. These give prompts for the type of question the student should ask, but you can always fade the prompt once the student begins to get the hang of this.
- Formulating Questions Flowers: These cards provide the answer and the student is supposed to formulate a question. There are visual cues as well. These are some of the things in my speech suitcase to work on WH questions. What’s in your suitcase?
