My Favorite No Prep Resources

I love having resources prepped and ready to go, but having no prep resources is something that can’t be beat. Being able to just hit print and go is priceless when you’re a busy SLP. I’m compiling some of my favorite no prep resources:

  1. Stacked Up Articulation: This articulation resource is designed for students who are working at the word (accuracy 75% or higher), phrase, or sentence level. It is not designed for students who are just beginning therapy or for those who frustrate easily. Students start on the left and say each word/phrase/sentence in each box. If they say each word in every box correctly, they color the boxes and move on. If they don’t produce the words in all the boxes in a vertical line correctly, they have to go back to the beginning and try again. This should enable you to get several trials with just this one sheet. Each sheet includes words in mixed positions for each sound. The following sounds are included: /p, b, m, n, t, d, f, v, k, g, j, sh, ch, th, l, s, z, prevocalic r, mixed vocalic r, l-blends, s-blends, and r-blends/. Each sheet has 20 pictures/words.
  2. No Prep Language Pack: Food: The following skills are included: describing, regular past tense verbs, irregular past tense verbs, similarities/differences, synonyms, antonyms, multiple meaning words, categories, idioms, prediction, inferences, context clues. There is also an open-ended sheet. There are 2 sheets for each skill.
  3. The Unexplained: These nonfiction passages are focused on ”unexplained” things. There are two pages for each of the following: Bermuda Triangle, Big Foot, Loch Ness Monster, Stonehenge, UFOs, and yetis.
  4. Sticker Articulation and Language: Students put a sticker on the page every time they practice a word or answer a question, which will keep them motivated! There is a page for each for articulation and two pages each for language.
  5. No Prep Match and Color Articulation: Each mat has 10 pictures, each of which are repeated once (total of 20 pictures). Have your students find the matching pictures and say the word 5 times. If they say each word five times, you get a total of 50 trials with one page. I recommend having them color the pairs the same color.
  6. STOP (Students Tracking Own Progress) Sheets: Each “STOP sheet” contains 10 trials of a skill. There is a tracking section so students can take their own data. There are 3 sheets per skills. The following skills are included: categories, WH questions, similarities/differences, describing, MM words, idioms, adverbs, adjectives, conjunctions, synonyms, antonyms, regular past tense verbs, irregular past tense verbs, context clues with Tier 2 vocabulary
  7. No Prep Book Companions Bundle: These are now broken down into seasons + non-seasonal, but the bundle still saves you the most money. There are currently 143 books included.
  8. Low Prep Themes in a Box: This one does take a little prep (to cut the pages in order to fit them into the boxes), but it’s an easy way to work on themes during your sessions.
  9. Color Your Sound Articulation: Each page features a phoneme and a picture with the target sound in each box (in initial, medial, or final position except for /r/ which has all initial).
  10. FREE Ten For packets: There are packets for September-June. Each one has 10 free sheets.
