Sometimes You Worry…

Dear SLP,

Sometimes you worry that not you’re not doing effective therapy.

Sometimes you worry about being a good parent.

Sometimes you worry about all the time you spend in meetings.

Sometimes your worry that your child is getting too much screen time.

Sometimes you worry that you don’t know enough about apraxia, AAC, articulation, language disorders, etc.

Sometimes you worry that you’re spending too much time worrying about things you can’t change.

Sometimes you worry about your students.

Sometimes you worry about your mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, or friend.

Sometimes you worry about your supervisor coming to observe you.

Sometimes you worry that you’re not exercising or eating healthy.

Sometimes you worry that you’re not managing your students’ behaviors well enough.

Sometimes you worry that you’re not being a good friend.

Sometimes you worry about getting that evaluation and report done in time.

Sometimes you worry about nothing.

It’s ok. We all worry about something. Or lots of things. The important thing is to keep showing up. For your family, students, coworkers, friends, and most importantly…yourself.
